Counselling can help you to get back on track when you are facing difficulties or feeling upset and emotionally dis-regulated. Often it can be a reflective time to consider how you want things to be going forward, and to think about what you could put in place to make positive change.
I offer face to face, telephone and online/video counselling using a range of psychological and creative therapies. I work with most ages, including children under thirteen with the consent of parents / carers. I have many years of experience of working as a counsellor with young people at both Primary and Secondary schools and am trained in drawing and talking therapy. I have worked with a range of local community based counselling groups for adults over several years.
I have experience of working effectively with a range of issues including: Anxiety and Panic, Bereavement, Depression, Disordered Eating / Sleeping, Emotional Regulation, Family problems, Life changes, Occupational Stress, Over thinking, Self Harm.
When starting work with clients, I have an initial assessment session during which we discuss a contract for work and your goals for counselling. With young people, parents/carers may attend for part of this session. You will get an idea of what it is like to work with me and we can decide on a number of sessions. I offer both short and long term therapy normally with a weekly cadence.
All Sessions are 50 minutes including the initial assessment.
Fees are £45 per session paid bank to bank 24 hours in advance. 24 hours notice is required to cancel sessions or the full fee will be charged.
Apple-Tree is located on the edge of the historic town of Newmarket. There is plenty of free parking and it is a short walk from the station and town centre. Newmarket is approximately 20 minutes drive from Cambridge, Bury St Edmunds and Ely.
